Geocache Description:

Oak Grove Cemetery is a pretty little well kept cemetery that was established in 1860 and lies in the Sunshine Community. The coordinates do not take you to the cache but to a spot where you will discover the coordinates for the cache which is nearby. Please keep this a daytime cache and be respectful when you are in the cemetery and the neighborhood.  You are looking for a small log only container where the red fern grows.

WHERE THE RED FERN GROWS is a heartwarming tale of adventure for young readers about a 10 year old boy who lived in the Ozarks and his Redbone Coonhound hunting dogs. It was written by Wilson Rawls in 1961. In 1974 the story increased in popularity when it was made into a movie. I'll bet you can find a copy at the library. The families buried here grew up in a somewhat rural area. Things are changing fast. They were perhaps similar to the characters in the story. Please advise me if the cache needs attention. Happy caching.

Congratulations to arkekey, IronHorse4 and OR-NPL191 for the FTF - a trifecta!
