ABS #06 Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

AddHam: We've got less time these days and we're not on this side of town much anymore so it's time to let this one go. If anyone wants the spot for the final, let us know. I'd love to find a cache in a giant cement box in the ground.

Geocache Description:

Yep, you've all seen them! The old and derelict buildings, foundations, and other remnants of days gone by. This series is all about those cool places and objects you find while out caching that you wouldn't have normally taken a second look at or, perhaps, even seen it at all if it weren't for the caches nearby.
I've been wanting to place a series out to highlight these interesting locations that I've come across for some time now. You won't find any closed down businesses, empty overgrown parking lots, or houses that haven't been lived in for years in this series. These are for those structures that are truly abandoned. Hence the title: Abandoned Structures Series (or ABS for short since the first acronym I thought of isn't as kid-friendly )

I have just a handful of these locations picked out to place caches at and will be doing so as I get them ready. And of course, as I discover more, more caches will be placed.

This Cache:
Not that the world needs any more micro's at this point, but I wanted to up the difficulty given the final location. This one is a 2 stage multi to ensure that you go through the park to get to it...otherwise, you'll be trespassing. Please only find during park hours.

I discovered this old concrete box three years ago and just had to use it for a cache. It ended up being used twice for the ECN events so you may already know of it. Looking at this structure, I hate to think that it was possibly an old latrine but maybe that's the case. Hopefully, it was just an old storm shelter instead! It sure smelled like the former when I placed the cache, though. There was a dead fox down in there. And, yep, that's where you're going! Be ready for it to be soggy after rain and bring a clothes pin for your nose.

The cache can be found at N 42° 53.ABC W 085° 29.DEF:

At Stage 1 there is a memorial plaque on the ground in front of the bench.

A= # of letters in the last word on the plaque
B= # of letters in Nicholas's last name
C= # of letters in 2nd word on the plaque.
D= # of letters in the first word on the last line
E= # of letters in the last word of the 3rd line minus the # of letters in the last word of the 2nd line.
F= # of letters in the 2nd AND 3rd words on the 3rd line together.
