Geocache Description:


You’ll enjoy this little known West Chicago Prairie that spreads out over 300 acres of relatively flat land in western DuPage County near Fermilab. An extensive trail system provides great views of the preserve's wide range of habitats.

The hide is part of the DuPage Forest Preserve Geocaching Challenge Passport program and The cache and others within the Forest Preserve’s 25,000 acres contains a passport sticker, and anyone who collects five or more different stickers can earn a custom trackable geocoin. This Geocache is placed on DuPage County Forest Preserve property with permission.

Do not place the following items in the Geocache: Fooditems,inappropriate,offensive,or hazardous materials.

DuPage County Forest Preserve hours are 1 hour after sunrise until 1 hour after sunset. Preserve users must not be in the preserves after hours.

It is the visitor’s responsibility to be aware of the policies and rules pertaining to this preserve. For more information on preserve rules, see the information kiosk in the parking lot of the preserve or contact Visitor Services at (630) 933-7248.

All Statutes, Ordinances, rules and regulations pertaining to the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County are applicable.

To best access this cache enter from the west (Industrial Dr) where there is parking and the main preserve entrance. Stay on the "Foot path" North - NE. There is no need to bushwhack.
