Geocache Description:

I became a fan of night caches after I had completed the (unfortunately no longer active) Dark Trail of Ridler & Cmokica. Inspired by this and some other great geocaching adventures in the dark, I decided to set up my own night-multi.

I named this multi-cache Brown Trail for the following reason:

After you have finished this night walk, your shoes and the lower part of your trousers will most likely be brown. The trails in this forest are often quite muddy, so come prepared and wear solid shoes. I recommend sturdy hiking boots.

Important: Read the following description carefully, before you head into the woods! Or print it out and take it with you. Otherwise you might get lost.

At stage 4 you will probably need a working internet connection or a good telephone joker, unless you understand one very special language (see also hint for stage 4).

This multi-cache has five stages, including the starting point and the final.

2 (!) square (= quadratic) white reflector lights indicate that you have reached one of the first 3 stages. At stage 4 and at the final are NO (!) reflectors.

1. Stage (2 white reflectors):

The given coords will take you to the starting point.

Shortest route to the start (stage 1):

Opposite the house with the street number Grič 1 you will see a little garage house with 2 doors. On the left side of this little garage house starts an unmarked trail that leads you up the hill in the direction of stage 1.

Once you are there, watch out for 2 white quadratic reflector lights. Find the box with the hint that leads you to stage 2. Read the hint carefully and follow the given directions to stage 2.

Important advice:

1. When you come to the second (!) crossroads (described in the hint) turn right. Then you have to walk a little bit on the forest road before you see the first reflector.

2. After you have found the first couple of reflectors keep left.

3. Sometimes it is not that easy to see the reflectors. And they are not on every second tree! Keep searching and do not give up!

2. Stage (2 white reflectors):

At stage 2 you will receive only a set of coordinates. Type them in your GPS device and follow your electronic compass. Once you are there, start to search for reflectors. They will lead you all the way to stage 3.

3. Stage (2 white reflectors):

At stage 3 you will get the coords for stage 4. You are almost there.

Advice: After you have found stage 3, turn right (facing the reflectors) and walk for ca. 30 meters. You will reach the main trail and come to a crossing of several trails. You cannot miss it. It is very broad (almost an "Autobahn"). At the crossroads take the far right trail. It leads you to the fourth station and from there to the final.

4. Stage (NO more white reflectors):

Congratulations! You have reached stage 4. Victory is almost around the corner. Just one more little exercise. A fictional, unemotional humanoid friend from outer space might help you. He has a very logical mind. But logic will not help you. Maybe telepathy or the WWW...

Do not get lost after you have found the final! I strongly advise you to note down the coords of the place where you parked your car. As a last resort you can always go back to stage 1 with the help of your GPS device.

Important advice for all stages:

All reflectors are fixed on trees, in most cases 2 meters or more above ground level. That is why I recommend the usage of a headlamp. If you bring a normal flashlight, adjust its beam accordingly.

If you do not find the reflectors right away, search around for a while. Hang in there till the end! Good things and geocaches come to those who are persistent and can wait!

Have fun! When you are all by yourself, it can become a bit spooky and eerie in these woods. Luckily, there are no angry bears here, at least not as many as on Krim wink

Good night and good luck! Lahko noč in srečno!
