Geocache Description:

Guard Rail Fun - the end of a wonderful series. Welcome to the finale.

In November of 2009, the first Guard Rail Fun cache was placed in the east end of Oak Ridge, Tennessee. The noble purpose of this cache was to provide a quick, easy park and grab that would not require a hike through the woods, an encounter with poisonous plants or insects or worse, had excellent coords and convenient parking near the cache.

Since this first Guard Rail Fun (GRF) cache was placed, over 300 caches have been placed in over 25 different states and two foreign countries including Canada and Australia.

Although we are no longer going to create new GRF caches or issue numbers for them, we certainly hope the existing caches will be maintained and kept active for many years to come.

To all who created a GRF cache, thank you for creating a cache that was guaranteed to be an easy park and grab, perfect for inclimate weather, those times when you just need a find to satisfy a craving, or when you just need an easy way to add to your numbers. Good luck and happy caching!

Please be aware that wasps may build a nest in the same location as the cache!

This cache is located in Dyer County for those of you working on the Tennessee County Challenge..

While you're here, there is a companion cache right across the interstate, GC52HZ7, Welcome to Tennessee, that you can easily grab, giving you TWO easy caches to start (or finish) your visit to Tennessee.

If this is your first Tennessee cache, congratulations!
