Cache is situated close to Danskine Loch which is just north of the B6355 near Gifford in East Lothian, this small loch is one of Scotland's 'wild' waters. Unfortunately, the original stock has been greatly depleted, partly due to major losses from an unknown cause in the early '90s, and it is unknown how many remained. In the 2005, the Scottish Carp Group restocked the lake with wild carp and mirror carp. There are also roach and a large head of perch - mostly small but with good specimen over 2lbs.
