Geocache Description:

The successful Earlston Paths Group was formed in 2005 with a broad aim to develop and maintain a sustainable accessible path network around the Earlston and Redpath areas.

In 2010, after developing the shorter walks, they created the longer Leader Water Path which provides a beautiful off - road walking experience between Earlston and the River Tweed at the Leaderfoot bridges. The path also allows walkers easy access to towns like Melrose and links to routes including The St Cuthberts and 4 Abbeys Ways plus more local footpaths.
