Geocache Description:

This cache is placed at the entrance to the peaceful Cabarita Park and is a micro, so please bring your own pen and be gentle when opening the container to avoid damage.

Situated on the water at the end of Cabarita Road, Cabarita Park is a large open space area covered with trees. The park is the most popular location within Canada Bay for weddings and ceremonies due to its beautiful surroundings. Along with BBQ’s and undercover areas with toilets and picnic tables around the park the Cabarita swimming pool, coffee shops, restaurant and wharf makes it a top location for a day out. The pavilion from which the Governor General of the time proclaimed the Federation of Australia in 1901 is also worth exploring, having been moved from Centennial Park to Cabarita Park in 1903.
