IT: Questo è il primo geocache nel centro di Altamura, la città famosa in Italia per il suo ottimo pane. La città merita una visita anche per il centro storico con i caratteristici claustri e la splendida cattedrale Santa Maria Assunta.
Il cache si trova poco fuori il centro storico nei pressi della scuola Roncalli. Consiglierei una visita in un paio di buone pasticcerie e una pizzeria d'asporto che si trovano nelle vicinanze del cache.
Si consiglia di fare molta attenzione alla presenza di babbani mentre si cerca il cache.
EN: This is the first geocache in the centre of Altamura, the town that all Italy knows for its excellent bread. Altamura deserves a visit also for other reasons. There is a nice historical centre with the 'claustri' (small courtyards that are accessed from the narrow streets of the city centre) and in the middle of everything the 13th century cathedral "Santa Maria Assunta".
The cache is placed a few minutes walk away from the historical centre, nearby the elementary school of Roncalli. In the neigbourhood there are a couple of very nice patisserie bars and one take-away pizzeria which I can all recommend.
Please pay a lot of attention to muggles when searching for the cache.
