The 10th of January is a special day for earthcachers - we commemorate the first ever earthcache. Back in 2004 on a headland 3 hrs south of Sydney, Australia the very first EarthCache was 'placed' by Geoaware and his two daughters. EarthCache I - a simple geology tour of Wasp Head sat for two weeks before it was found by Tankengine.

We have the use of a private upstairs room with amazing views overlooking the famous Ironbridge and River Severn - over the years we have had many geo events here, and 'thank you' goes out to Wild Goosey for putting me in touch this time.
If you intend to dine with us please can you say so in your LOG - this will enable our kind host Nick Gentlemen to cater for us all. There will be bar meals available.

Here are the instructions to add the badge to your profile:
1. Log in your account on www.geoaching.com
2. In the top right click on your Geocaching name, this will display your profile page.
3. On the right hand side of the page you should see a link to 'Your Public Profile', click on this link to open your public profile.
4. Click 'Edit Your Profile'
5. Paste ALL the code below into the page:

6. When you have done this, click the 'Save Changes' button at bottom left of page, this will take you to 'Your Account Details' page.
7. In the 'Profile Details' section click 'Preview Profile Details', to see the picture(s) that others will now see.
8. When you have previewed the badge click on the X to close the preview pane.
9. If you want to change the appearance of the page, in the 'Profile Details' section click 'Change' and amend as required and click 'Save Changes'.
