PET preform located low down in the apex of the palisade fence where Delta Road meets Delta Park.
Although this cache is available 24/7, for your own safety and out of courtesy to the neighbours I would not recommend this after dark.
Delta Park consists of an area of 104 hectare established in 1934 as the waste treatment plant. It functioned as such till 1963 when the sewerage treatment plant was moved to Diepsloot where it remains to this day. From 1963 to 1975 the delta remained derelict and was notorious for rinkhals and legavaan (monitor lizards). My brother recalls how the builders of the then Blairgowrie High school (now Delta Park School) would daily hang all the rinkhals on the fence that were caught during the day.
Today the park consists of an Environmental centre including interpretive trails, bird sanctuary and plenty of wide open space to walk and exercise your dogs.
