This series “We Look Up To You” is dedicated to our Dad & Pop-Pop! He has always served as a role model to all of us and now to our children. Our memories with him have inspired the placements of each cache! We hope you enjoy this series as much as we have enjoyed hiding these caches in honor of WoodenNickel4U!
*In the log book of each of these caches, you will find the hint for the Bonus- Mystery Cache #6! Note that We Look Up To You #2 has been disabled and the hint needed for the bonus cache is "N XXX 22.883 W XXX XX.XXX". You will still need to obtain the hints in the log books of #1, #3, #4, and #5 in order to find the bonus cache.
PopPop and the Pirates: Along the banks of the Hudson River North of where this cache is located, PopPop discovered the name for his boat, Devil’s Footprint. He’s used this boat to take his grandchildren on various pirate adventures. The kids absolutely love it! One of the pirate adventures took place just south of here near the "Treason" cache. PopPop puts so much thought and time into these pirate adventures. The kids still talk about them to this day. They love their PopPop and his pirate adventures!
Our father also has fond memories of growing up on the Hudson River. His father and grandfather were commercial fisherman so the majority of his childhood was spent fishing the river and making great memories with his own grandfather. It is great to see him now be able to make memories on the very same river with his grandchildren.
