Editions #1 to #4 of Swedish Breakfast encouraged many cachers from across Ireland to come and meet for food and drink early on a Sunday morning. Edition #5 proved that this is still true after mania in the mountains. So far, this series has attracted people from every corner of the country. We've had many Dublin cachers, but also Youghal, Limerick and Newtownabbey... as well as Scotland, America and a few others that have slipped my mind. Not bad at all! With stats like that, who knows what will happen on Edition #6! So come join us early Sunday morning to fill your stomach, have your fill of geochat, and fill your mind with ideas for Sunday caching!
The Swedish Breakfast series is one of Dublins regular events, taking place approximately every ten weeks... ample time to have tried the hints gleaned from the previous meetup! So come join us for breakfast on Sunday, 23rd February starting from 930am. We'll meet in the restaurant on the very top floor of Ikea (go in via the main entrance under the building and just follow the escalators) at one of the tables. The restaurant opens at 930am and I will have my food and be seated at about 945am. If you're eating, I would suggest getting food before meeting the group due to the fact that you can get free tea/coffee (with unlimited free refills) from 930am to 1000am. We typically sit in the same place everytime, so once you've paid and gotten your tea/coffee/sugar, look towards the windows in the corner to the south west of the restaurant!
There is however, absolutely no requirement to buy food or drink at the venue; however I would imagine it is hard to watch other people tearing into bacon and sausages when you're having nothing :) There is plenty of healthier food available, but I just can't resist a good fry....
This will be an opportunity to help travel bugs and geocoins on their way as well as eat a hearty breakfast ready for your own Sunday caching adventures. Bring your own personal coin/bug selection for discovery and bring your questions about that annoying puzzle along too. You may (or may not) get help! If you have any plans for upcoming caches, this event would be a great time to discuss them with the group. If you're thinking of going to your first event, come along! If you're thinking of a days shopping, why not tie it in with an event cache??
As an aside, "Happy New Year!". Oh wait, its now the end of February. Well, this cache page was written in December, so you can't blame me. I'm still under strict orders to look for a duvet, but theres also a space in my freezer and my stomach for the cinnamon rolls I guzzle savagely at these events.

There is an absolutely incredible amount of free parking in the Ikea carpark so car is by far the best way to get here. Unfortunately there is no bus service from the city center at this hour on a Sunday.
