Over the creek and into the woods, your search will take you into the nature area of this park. This area used to have all the park parking until they moved the road! The headwaters of North Creek start just across the freeway, and flow thru this natural area. This park has long been a favorite place to play for Everett residents. When the tall forests ringed the lake, the loud cries of swimmers and beach players would echo across the water. In the 1930’s a 40 foot tower held a waterslide that hurtled you toward the lake with your skim board, which allowed you to ride across the lakes’ surface if all went well. Today the lake is still the hot spot for sunbathing and getting together for a children’s concert , a cyclocross bike race, a learn-to- boat program or a swim. Come back to play! Please replace the cache as you find it - watch out for blackberries.
