Recently on a LOOONG trip I found it a nice break to stop and find a cache. Gave me a great opportunity to get out of the car and stretch the legs a bit. So I decided as I drove the Highways of AZ I would look for places to S-T-R-E-T-C-H. These caches are meant to be quick P&Gs. Stretch the ol' legs and hit the road again.
Dry Lake Road #4
AZ Highway 377 is known to all the locals as "Dry Lake Road" it's reference is to the Lake created by the Paper Mill in Snowflake. The water used to treat the paper at the Mill was pumped to an area along 377. Nothing could live in its waters per say but, everyone in town (Holbrook) knew when the wind blew from the West. Peee-Uuuuu! It even had its own yacht club who cleaned up the highway near the lakes location. (On the flats, South, below what is now a windmill farm.) Looked like a great place for a cache Stretch those legs and have a safe trip!
