Aberdeen has Dolphins, Hamilton has horses and now Glasgow has freaky looking thistle people. What am I on about? From the 14 July, Clyde, the mascot of the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games, will be placed at various locations around the city as part of "Clyde's Mascot Trail".
6:55pm - Act like a tourist at the listed co ords to find a very special Clyde that is not part of the mascot trail.
7:00pm - Run to the front of the big clyde, everyone get in a line and hold your thistle in the air. That's right, you need to bring a thistle, which could be the replica mascot, real thistles, thistle related items or if your caching name is JaggyLittleThistle then just wave yourself in the air somehow.
07:10pm - Get your group photo taken then leg it as if nothing ever happened.
07:15pm - Why not join up with other cachers and follow the clyde mascot trail around the city.
Like all good geocaching flashmobs, everyone will probably arrive early, form a large group and start having caching discussions and at the end, no one will leg it but will probably hang around having more caching discussions.
This is the best date I can get to fit in with my Commonwealth games shifts and Mega Scotland events.
