Out caching with tugies...found Sunspiders First Thousand, Be Mine and Living on the Edge..my toe hurts, bad...it is bruised and may be broken...tugies has to drive my jeep...I need a rest...found a great place to sit...
Please read this from Poehunters: Log Date: 12/27/2013 Co-FTF w Philbeer at 5:45pm. I could have sworn we were FTF at 5:45pm tonight, but when I got home and logged in, I saw sunspider's log and his comment about a blank log. I pinged him to see when he was there in case we missed his signature on the log - it's happened before. It sounded like he was there after us since it was dark for him and we were there in the daylight. This was all kind of strange to us all, so sunspider re-checked the cache log the next morning. The mystery was soon solved. Apparently a banned cacher - TucsonThompsen - Jeff Thompsen - has been having some fun at other cacher's expenses. It appears that he was there after us but before sunspider. He seems to have crossed out our stamped signatures and then added a log after sunspider was there that included his banned name. How very strange, but we have the pictures. After I saw the pictures of the cache logs, all I could think about how it's really sad to see someone go thru so much effort to just cause trouble in a game where he has been removed for harassing other cachers over multiple years. At least he left us all plenty of proof to share to with everyone! I can only hope other cachers read this log and see the pictures. For those who don't approve, please let him know just how much you don't like this type of behavior the next time he shows up at a Tucson event. I have no ill feeling about the situation, but rather the opposite. I really hope that he takes up another hobby that brings people together and helps people rather than trying to play in a game where he has been removed.
