Several years ago now, I had a chance to meet Carl Edwards at the nearby Office Depot (Before they switched their support to that Tony guy.) It was the first day of the new school year, and as I was stuck in meetings, my awesome husband rode his motorcycle back and forth from Sylmar, to get me a wristband that insured me a Meet & Greet with my celebrity crush later that evening. I first took note of Carl when he won his first race in Atlanta, outracing the ridiculously talented Six-Pack champion, Jimmy Johnson. From his polished charm in the winners circle, to that first Nextel Cup trademark back flip, to one of the most exciting finishes that I've ever seen, after years of being more of an Open Wheel fan, I gained a new interest in NASCAR that day.
