Geocache Description:

A series of caches that will build to an A – Z of spices.

Each cache may include a clue which will provide information for a future cache.

Brought to you by Jedika98 and Doctor Owl. This one was placed with the assistance of Sister Raven and Eagle.

Vanilla, meaning ‘little pod’, is derived from orchids of the genus vanilla, primarily from the Mexican species, flat-leaved vanilla It was used as a flavouring by Pre-Columbian Mesoamerican people, including the Incas. Spanish conquistadors introduced the plant to Europe

Vanilla is the second most expensive spice (after saffron) because growing the vanilla seed pods is labor-intensive. Vanilla is widely used in both commercial and domestic baking, perfume manufacture and aromatherapy.

If faced with a hundred icecream flavours, Raven would always choose vanilla. If cachers have a craving for icecream, whether vanilla or another flavour, it may be purchased from the neighbouring service station or Foodland store and enjoyed in the park. Although there are tennis courts and a playground in the park, the Spice Girls do not recommend indulging in icecreams while undertaking strenuous sporting activities.

Watch out for muggles and disguised cachers. Despite being careful, the Spice Girls were spotted placing the cache!
