Wadrift Salt Pan Traditional Cache

There is parking at the cache 

There is also a birds lookout point at S 32°12,254 E 18°19,907

Please don't park on the Road near the lookout point. Rather park at the cache or at the towers and walk to the lookout point. There has been trouble with Transnet in the past re parking on the road.

The main pan is at the other side of the Sishen Saldanha Service Road and not easily spotted.

The bird life is unbelievable.

The feeding on the pan is on the left hand side of the road (coming from Elandsbaai) directly opposite the second tunnel under the railway line on the right.

The Baird's Sandpiper has also  been spotted at Wadrift Salt Pan just north of Eland's Bay
