This place is special.
It's a short hike, but it is not easy to get here. You will need to travel confusing unmarked logging roads and bushwack through poison oak and/or clearcuts. However, it's worth it! This location is just fantastic. A massive mossy scree field. Astounding views of Table Mountain, Sacajawea, Greenleaf Peak, and the Greenleaf Slide. You will also get nice views of the mighty Columbia rolling through the Gorge. Come check it out, especially in the wet season when the moss is a thick carpet of iridescent green.
There are vision quest pits here, including two that you can see in Google Earth just north of the cache site. We saw quite a few others, at least six. How many will you find?
