Geocache Description:

(Happy St David's Day!)

March 1st is a very special day to the people of Wales. It is Saint David's Day!

Saint David was born about 1500 years ago, and was a preacher who founded many monastries and churches in Wales. For more, go here!

Welshies all around the world love Saint David's Day. It is an opportunity to show their innate Welsh-ness. Red is worn prominently - or traditional costume - and many will wear a leek or daffodil proudly on their lapel (kids would typically wear a leek to school... and snack on it throughout the day!).

As is typical, food is very important to the Welsh, and on Saint David's Day, certain foods are typically devoured. Welsh Rarebit (often called Welsh Rabbit, or is that Welsh Rabbit Rabbit?), Bara Brith, and most importantly.... WELSH CAKES! (And tea...)

So - please come on over... we're going to have an open house. Saturday March 1st, from 9am to 11am, and would love for you to join in the festivities! Thank you - diolch yn fawr!

PS - our house is #120...
