The Heartland Youth For Decency Memorial Park is near downtown La Mesa and honors those residents who lost their lives in the Vietnam War.
This is a 2-part multi-cache. The final location is nearby and within walking distance. To determine the final location, go to the posted coordinates and find the information below.
For A, B, and C, find the plaque that shows the date the memorial was dedicated: June A4, 19CB.
For now D=3. Originally for D, about 200' to the northwest is an American Legion Hall. Find the 3-digit Post number on the wall facing the memorial and add the three digits together to get a 2-digit number. Then add those two digits together to get D.
For E, about 20' east of the memorial is a brown electrical box about 6' tall. On the box is a white stenciled 4-digit number followed by "RC". The 4th digit is E.
For F, at the American Legion Hall, on the side of the building facing University Avenue, there is a plaque in the lower left with a 4-digit year. The 4th digit is F.
