EarthCache 10th Birthday
Join other cachers celebrating the true 10th birthday of EarthCaches - 10 January 2014.
Events are being run around the globe (map link).
On the 10th of January 2004 on a headland 3 hrs south of Sydney, Australia the very first EarthCache was 'placed' by geoaware and his two daughters. EarthCache I - a simple geology tour of Wasp Head sat for two weeks before it was found by Tankengine.
Well! It seems that this is the 10th anniversary of the first earthcache published. Time for an event at my favorite restaurant. Please join me for fun, stories and food. As usual we'll be meeting upstairs.

Why YOU, of course...whether you have one cache find or a thousand cache finds, please feel free to come join us for a small meet and greet.

Why:
To eat yummy food, talk geocaching, and trade bugs. Those who wish to may also do some geocaching before or after the event.
Extra things to keep in mind:
- If you pick up a Travel Bug or trackable coin at one of the events, make sure you log it out so it doesn't show up in the events list. If a trackable sits as being listed in the event for a couple of months, the cache owner is the one that gets the e-mail from the TB owner(s).
- Each person attending will be responsible for any costs incurred for food and drinks.
