Old Clarens Pumping Station Traditional Cache

This Cache is located in the Clarens nature reserve, this dam was built originally for the purpose of supplying water to the town of clarens. It has long been decomissioned and is part of the nature reserve. 

The Cache is hidden where the old pumping station used to function at the bottom of the dam.

The Cache you seek is hidden cleverly in the construction of the old pumping station. Though the more obvious location may seem for it to be hidden at the white building where the pumps used to be held within (Recently this has just been demolished by the council and a flat slab of concrete now exists). This is not where you will find what you seek, travel further down where the water flows and you will discover the true location of the cache.

Here you will find an old concrete water reserve, this cache is located very close to where the old pump was mounted next to the reservoir

Careful you have the potential of getting quite wet on this one during the summer. But the cache has now been moved out of the path of the water and is on slightly higher ground.
