This multi cache follows the route of a walk that I do regularly. I thought that this would be a great way to show others this interesting and varied walk. There are some steep uphill sections but they are mainly confined to the first half of the walk. The views along the way are spectacular taking in mountains in the Snowdon group, as well as Llyn Padarn.
Most of the walk is within Padarn Country Park. This is a 800-acre park on the edge of the village of Llanberis. The start of the walk is within about 1/2 mile of the village.
The container is a click-lock lunch box.
From car park at the slate museum, walk back along the road to the first waypoint.
What is the bottom number on the H? Answer=A
Follow path uphill through the woods to the second waypoint.
How many footprints are on the sign? Answer=B
Turn right to go through the barracks, then turn left up the incline.
At the top, go through the kissing gate and turn left to the third waypoint.
How many green vertical posts? Answer divided by 11=C
Walk back from the viewpoint and turn left in front of the ruined building.
Walk along track to bus turning circle and fourth waypoint.
When was the memorial erected? 200D
Cross the road and go through the wooden kissing gate.
Walk along the track then along a path to the fifth waypoint.
How many green posts are there? Answer x2=E
Continue on the path and head downhill to the sixth waypoint.
How many yellow footprints are on the post? Answer=F
