Geocache Description:


I placed this cache near the clubhouse at Mare Island Golf Course. This is one of a few places my grandfather, US NAVY WWII,  would take me as he was teaching me how to play golf. He started taking me when I was three and how I wish i kept with it. As he got older we were no longer able to go as frequently as we used to so I stopped playing regularly around 8 years old. Today is the first time I have played this course in around 25 years and it now has twice as many holes. I always keep a cache in my care for those times when I am in a place and really want to place a cache for personal reasons as well as the, "They'll never find a cache here" reason. This one is not too difficult but has a lot of places to look in that all look the same. As I placed this cache the clouds were bright pink and orange silhouetting MNT Tam. I shot 78 today; Feel free to note your score on the log if you play a round of golf and then do some caching on the island.
