A quick park and grab at this interesting place on the Cheltenham to Hunterville Road.
I've often admired this part of our journey along SH54. At the sharp bend at the top you get panoramic views including across to the Ruahine Ranges. Most of all though is the roads leaving from the bend (both towards Cheltenham and towards Hunterville) a massive downhill sweep a la Big Dipper at the fairground. I imagine cycling downhill at massive speeds (but that surely entails an uphill slog first?)
When placed this small screw top pill bottle contained logbook and pencil only.
There is safe parking in the close vicinity of the hide.
Enjoy the views and cycle up and down the big dipper if you dare!
