Geocache Description:

Good off road parking but be aware its a busy main road and heading south is the best approach.

In 1938 an evergreen oak tree was planted here by 91 year old Mr Ned Gibson of Normanby, he was part of the Surveying party that cut the railway line from Normanby to Hawera. In 2003 three new evergreen oaks were planted here to ensure the story of the Gibson continues Please re hide as you found it and don't make it obvious by covering with stones etc
