C.B.H.U. - Cairns Bruce Highway Upgrade
Following almost two years of demolition, diversions, pile driving and construction, Stage One of the CBHU - from Sheehy Road to Ray Jones Drive is almost complete.
One of the key elements of this first stage, was the removal of the Forest Gardens Boulevard/Sheehy Road/Bruce Highway intersection, which has been replaced with an overpass and a new Service Road, running parallel to the Bruce Highway, allowing traffic to travel from George Cannon Drive to Anderson Road, then onto Charlotte Close before linking into Rigg Street at Woree.
For commuters wishing to travel between the suburbs of Mount Sheridan, Bayview Heights and Woree this maybe a useful carriageway to consider.
The Service Road will bring commuters along side the "Splash Waterpark". If your timing is right, you maybe just in time to see the water filled pineapple overbalance, dumping hundreds of litres of water on those below.
If you have a keen eye, this cache maybe easily located, but care must be taken when accessing the cache hide, as at times, there will be plenty of muggles close by. I would suggest either an early morning or late in the evening visit, but the cache itself is available 24/7.
You do not need to enter the park to access this cache.
This is a 'log only' cache with no room for swaps. Remember to bring your own writing stick, to record your visit for posterity.
