Los castaños que se pueden observar siguiendo esta ruta están catalogados como Singulares por la Junta de Extremadura ya que son ejemplares supervivientes de los extensos castañares que cubrían estas sierras antes de que en el siglo XVIII la tinta causara estragos favoreciendo que los robles tomaran el relevo.
Bonitas vistas. Uno de los pocos castaños centenarios que quedan en la zona. El caché no esta en el árbol. Respetar tanto el árbol como el entorno para evitar estropear las raices. A 4 metros de CASTAÑO SINGULAR, junto al camino. Nice views. One of the oldest surviving chestnuts in the region. The cache is not in the tree. Avoid stepping over the roots and look after the environment. 4 metres away from CASTAÑO SINGULAR, near the path.
