BON AIR- “Chesterfield County- The Series”
The BON AIR community has 9,025 residents living in one of the 3,340 single-family homes, 6 multi-family units, 16 duplexes and 222 mobile homes (in mobile home parks) with in the community. The boundaries for BON Air are W.Huguenot Rd and Richmond City to the north, Norfolk Southern Railroad and Old Bon Air Rd to the west, Powhite Pkwy to the east and Midlothian Tnpk to the south. Brighton Green and Woodmont are two of the more prominent neighborhoods within its boundaries. BON AIR is also home to the historic Village of Bon Air and Bon Air Juvenile Correctional Center. Stein Mart Festival Shopping Center and Robious Hall are two of the bigger shopping plazas that line its boundaries. Crestwood and Bon Air Elementary schools and the Bon Air Library can also be found in this community. BON AIR has no county parks. The BON AIR community has a lower than average emergency call rate for police, average rate for fire and a higher rate for EMS calls. The traffic crash rate is higher than the county average.
