C.B.H.U. - Cairns Bruce Highway Upgrade
Following almost two years of demolition, diversions, pile driving and construction, Stage One of the CBHU - from Sheehy Road to Ray Jones Drive is almost complete.
The $150 million dollar upgrade of 3.4km of the Cairns Bruce Highway, has seen the construction of overpasses, service roads, pedestrian/ cycling paths, the closure of open level rail crossings and the introduction of two large electronic information boards, both of which overhang the Bruce Highway.
For commuters travelling northboard along the Bruce Highway past the Forest Gardens subdivision, you will pass one of these electronic information boards.
If you have a keen eye, this cache maybe easily located, but care must be taken when accessing the cache hide, as at times, there will be plenty of muggles commuting past. I would suggest either an early morning or late afternoon/evening visit, but the cache itself is available 24/7.
This is a 'log only' cache with no room for swaps. Remember to bring your own writing stick, to record your visit for posterity.
