Similar to my first cache, this is out in a park, but this will send you through open fields. This cache is located in what appears to be an old horse paddock. An interesting ruin. Most of the original fence posts remain along with the wood board fence of the stalls, but much of the fence is metal fabric which probably replaced the old boards. (Maybe someone else can shed some light on its past use and age.)
The park trail system thins out in this part of the park, and those trails will get you within a couple hundred meters of the cache. There are a few deer trails and horse trails after that, but nothing blazed. There is a stream to be crossed, but no bridge and few stepping stones. The fields might have been pastures at one time, but the weeds and thorny vines have taken over. And while the distance from the Mansion Lot to the cache is only about 700 to 800 meters, the change in elevation is about 50 meters.
The cache is located in an area rich in hiding places. I'd have preferred an obvious spot, but there wasn't one. Don't over think it. You won't need to climb any fences either. The hint will simplify your search.
The Terrain rating was based primarily on the high weeds and absence of trails rather than the length and climb of the hike.
A raise of a glass of Guiness to THC73 for being the FTF, especially in this awful weather.
