According to the history, King Borom Trai Lokanat, one of the great kings of the Ayutthaya Kingdom, ordered a construction of the main ordination hall and ordained as monks along with his 2,348 followers here in 1416. The temple’s pagoda is constructed with a Khmer style, which attracts archeological students and admirers to explore the beautiful and intricate swan designs. Another highlight is a holy footprint and a stone inscription built by King Narai the Great of Ayutthaya situated inside the Mondop (building).
