End of the Road Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Marko Ramius: Based on a message received from the cache owner to this cache, I am archiving the listing to remove it from search pages and to allow for new caches in this area. If you would like to correct the issues for this cache, you can either create a new cache page or send me an e-mail with the GCxxxx code for this cache listing and I will consider un-archiving it based on the circumstances involved. But for the most part, once a cache has been archived for lack of maintenance by the cache owner, the proper process is to place a new cache in its place.

Thank you for your understanding and for your contributions to Geocaching.

Geocache Description:

As of Jan. 27, 2015 a new cache container was created and moved to coordinates N 32.41.169' / W 117.06.965'. Container is now a small tube; log only, bring your own pen. Important: replace exactly where you found it; stay on the sidewalk, do not climb into the plant / flower bed or the landscape people will remove the cache. Wheelchair-friendly site.

"End of the road" literally is the point beyond which progress cannot continue, but this cache location is not quite literal anymore due to being muggled repeatedly. Where it is located now is a warning that the end is near. End of the road has also been a song title, written by Roger Penzabene, Norman Whitfield and Barrett Strong in 1967 and recorded by Gladys Knight and the Pips in 1968. It was later recorded by Marvin Gaye in 1970 and was listed as a Top 40 / Pop song for some time. In 1991, Boyz II Men recorded the song, with lyrics written by Babyface, L. A. Reid and Daryl Simmons for the film "Boomerang" with Eddie Murphy; this version was #1 on the Top 100 chart for 13 weeks in 1992 and won a Grammy that same year for Best R&B by a Group with Vocal, and Best R&B Song.
