I remember as a kid getting to experience most of these, while I have never made it to midnight in Times Square, I have spent many a New Years’ Eve watching the “ball” drop with Dick Clark. I think originally, when my Grandparents were alive we would watch Lawrence Welk first, and then as it got closer to midnight we would switch over to Dick Clark. We always had a party, which consisted of mini hot dogs in a blanket, chips and dip, veggies, fruit, some left over holiday pastries that my grandma had made, pizza and my Grandfathers favorite, cow tongue ![]()
Lawrence is gone, and so is Dick, but we still carry on the tradition in my house of watching Dick Clark aka, Ryan Seacrest, and having our own little New Years’ party, less the cow tongue! We usually play a board game or watch a movie (usually don’t make it to midnight when we do this!), then get out our champagne glasses, fill with sparkling cider and then wait for the count down. 10…9…8…7…6…5…4…3...2...1...Happy New Year!

This is a fairly easy grab, and should be easy to find as you approach GZ. I am not going to give any hints at first, if someone needs a hint I will be happy to get it to them. There is only room for a log, so please bring a pen. Please be gentle when removing the log and replace the container as found so the next person can enjoy.
Park at the parking cords, and be careful of muggles at certain times of the day and or week, can get busy in the area. Please do not park on the main road; there are plenty of parking spaces at the cords given.
