Geocache Description:

Dvigrad is a place no one should miss in its travel to Istia. It is a valley, a castle, a climbing place and much more.

Dvigrad (Twin-town), Docastei in Istriot language, is an abandoned medieval town in central Istria, Croatia. It is located in the Draga valley. The history of the settlement is prehistoric; it remained inhabited until the 18th century.

The Draga valley gives you feeling of returning to medieval times. Only magnificent viaduct at the one end of valley remembers you that those times are past. If you are the climber, nearby is a nice climbing crag. You can't miss it, just have a look from the castle to NW.

Valley can also be explored by foot, following its path to the see. That would be nice multi cache. Maybe someday.

Cache in easy to find. You can drive to coordinates which are also a parking place. Cache is hidden outside the castle. It might be dangerous to enter inside castle. It seems that it is being restaurated, but there is danger of falling rock.

GPS coordinates are very accurate, 5m accuracy.
