This unnamed tributary to the Soules Creek is one of about 10 unnamed spring fed tributaries that feed into it. It is also one of the longer tributaries that feed into the Soules Creek. Together these tributaries and the Soules Creek serve as the headwaters for the White River, which originates at the south end of the Wautoma Mill Pond.
As the picture depicts, this tributary is an experimental brown trout restoration project site. This largely makes sense as the Soules Creek is considered a Class I trout stream. If you cross the road and continue following the stream to the north you will only have to travel a short distance before you get to its headwaters area.
The area around the cache may be fairly wet at times of snow melt or high water conditions.
Please dress appropriately for the various hunting seasons in Wisconsin, as this cache is located on public hunting land.
