Welcome to 2014 and our latest geocaching event scheduled for the evening of Wednesday January 29th.
Is your New Year's resolution to be more active? Have the dark nights been an anti-climax since the festive season, or do you need some cheap entertainment now that the credit card statement has arrived?
Fear not, our meet'n'greet is here to inspire you to get out there and cache!
This will be an informal evening gathering and GZ is a popular hostelry: The Liverpool Arms, colloquially known as the "L A". Standing mid way between Onchan and Laxey, this former coaching house is the original Half Way House and the road it stands on is often referred to as the "L. A." straight.
Old faces and new are equally welcome so please feel free to come along and join us for some "straight" talking or, rather, friendly banter, maybe some puzzle hints and travel bug/coin swapping. Our main theme for tonight though is "interesting containers" and we hope to inspire some thinking outside the (Tupperware) box, something we know many of you already do so let's get those ideas bouncing around and inspiring others. Please feel free to bring along any examples and photos you don't mind sharing. We also hope to give you a sneak preview of our latest new geocache - tantalisingly nearby!
Food and, of course, liquid refreshment will be available. For details see http://www.liverpoolarms.com/liverpool-arms.html Please log a "will attend" if you plan to be there and please mention it in your log if you are likely to want to order food so that we can give them some idea of numbers. Food is served from 5 to 9pm, we intend be there from about 6.30pm until at least 8.30 p.m.
See you there!
