Katrina took all major roadways, even new ones, out of commisison. This Highway 11 bridge survived while nearby I-10 was demolished and rebuilt. This cache is located at the beginning (or end, depending on if you're coming or going) of the sturdy Highway 11 bridge. There used to be a swimming area here but went unmaintained. Now it's home to fishing and well... just fishing. Beautiful sunsets and sunrises can be beheld at the right times.
The cache is a tad tricky. May require tweezers to retrieve log. Thanks for the hunt!
