Geocache Description:

There are two ways to get this cache.

Use a boat, or walk.

Boat:
When I kayaked to this Island in the summer I discovered there are a LOT of sand fleas. Be careful when you pull ashore or your boat will get full of them.

Walk:
The only time to walk to this cache is at low tide when the tide is at it's lowest point.
If you want to walk across without getting your feet wet you need to go over when the low tide is negative tide levels. This only happens during the day a few times a year and it was negative low tide when I placed the cache... I didn't get my feet wet.
Consult tide tables to confirm you are going at the lowest possible tide. (visit link)

You can walk to Micou Island during the usual low tide. From Micou you can only walk to Sheep Island at the
lowest tide.

If you walk be aware that you have a VERY limited window at the peak of low tide. The tides comes in fast.

BE VERY CAREFUL AND AWARE OF THE TIDE!!!

I walked this Cache over to the island and I was amazed at how quickly the tide covered the sand bar.

The Cache itself is a winter friendly micro.

Enjoy the Bay!

Congrats to THE RED FOX RAIDERS for FTF in feel like temp of -22 deg and for making the walk to Sheep Island!

***NOTE***

I've had a cacher tell me that they came in contact with either stinging nettle or poison ivy, so be aware of the plants while you are on the island.
