Geocache Description:

Taking Over the Tri-State Area

Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz is a 47 year old mad scientist hailing from the country of Drusselstein. He is the head of Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated. He's not necessarily evil in the traditional sense, but rather the kind of evil that's overly dramatic, wildly eccentric and generally clueless (think evil genius meets bumbling buffoon).

His villainous lair is a pipe wrench-shaped office tower in the centre of Danville (with it's own jingle). Most of the daily operations of D.E.I. are run by Doofenshmirtz himself. The only purpose of the company is to aid "Dr. Doof" in carrying out his comical nefarious schemes.

Despite true dedication to his mission, nearly all of Doofenschmirtz's plans have been thwarted by his nemesis, Perry the Platypus (a secret spy known as "Agent P", and docile household pet of Phineas and Ferb).

Though his plans are frequently petty and clueless, and his doctorate was purchased off the internet, some of his inventions (usually called "_____-inators") have been fairly impressive. Sadly, due to his propensity to foolishly install self-destruct buttons in each of them, all have been destroyed.

Doofenschmirtz's maniacal goals are modest at best, as his aspirations are not truly global in nature, but merely to wreak "evil" havoc and assert his rule across the entire Tri-State Area.

This is a challenge cache.

The cache *IS* at the posted coordinates.
However, in order to claim this find, there are additional logging requirements listed below.
All logs that do not meet the challenge requirements will be deleted.

In order to log this as a find, you must find the cache, sign the logsheet, and you must have "taken over" your own tri-state area (or provinces) by finding 25 caches in three different provinces or states outside your home province/state. Neighbouring provinces/states are preferred but not mandatory. Any 75 caches in three different provinces/states -- except your own -- will qualify you (25 caches in each state/province).

For example, when this cache was published, ernie&bert&elmo&grover had found at least 50 caches in three of the five provinces/states bordering Manitoba (our home province). These are Ontario (210 finds), Minnesota (75), and North Dakota (57).

The rules for this challenge are as follows:
1. You must find at least 25 caches in each of three different provinces/states to qualify, not including your home state/province. Total of 75 caches. (Neighbouring states/provinces are preferred but not mandatory).
2. All previous and new finds count towards the challenge. Therefore you may already qualify for this challenge.
3. All cache types qualify for this challenge, including events, CITO, Mega Events, virtuals, Project APE, etc. However, Lab caches and/or other experimental cache types that don't get listed on your stats page do not.
4. In your "Found It" log entry, you must list your home province/state, and the qualifying totals for three other provinces/states outside your own (total = 75 caches). See the example above. If you wish to attach a bookmark list, please do so, but we will be reviewing your geocaching profile stats page to ensure you qualify.
5. All logs will be verified. Logs not meeting this criteria will be deleted.
6. Feel free to sign the log at any time and post a "note" on the cache page when you do so. But you may not claim the find online until you have completed these requirements.

A First-to-Find certificate awaits the lucky first-finder!

Be safe and avoid parking on the highway.
