Many moons ago this was the place to be on hot summer days.... swinging from a rope, slipping in the water or making big splashes from the bridge above. Back in the 80's and 90's (yes, kids, that's the 1900's) everyone knew to pass by "Joiner Town" if you needed to find someone....because that's where most kids spent their afternoons.
These days there's not likely to be swimming in this creek or jumping from the bridge...and that's justifiably so, because although it was fun, it is VERY dangerous. Serious injuries resulted from the carefree and reckless behaviors, but never-the-less, fun times still linger in the minds from those of us who were there so long ago.
