A cold 26 degree New Years day of 2014. Planting a few caches with my geo-buddy. Riding around looking for an inspiring place. While driving on route 502 came across the Nesbitt Reservoir and decided to place a cache.
Nice view with the snow and ice covering.

Nesbitt Reservoir is located on PA-502 in Spring Brook Township, Pennsylvania. The reservoir is managed and protected by the Pennsylvania American Water Company (PAWC). It provides a fresh water supply to approximately 1,100 area residents and is the second largest tributary to the Lackawanna River. The Spring Brook tributary begins in Yostville, Pennsylvania, to confluence with the Lackawanna River in Moosic, Pennsylvania. The Spring Brook watershed has eighteen tributaries of its own.
Whitewater rafting is some of the fun to be had on this seven mile strip of water.[1] It is a medium difficult level for paddling for those who are not ready for the roaring rapids but not quite a beginner.
The view of the falls at the Nesbitt Reservoir is breathtaking to behold from the walk bridge that allows to walk from one side of the reservoir to the other. It is no longer accessible to the public since the reservoir was purchased from PAWC. Before that time, there was a nature trail that included sights of creeks, the stream, falls, deer and other small animals of nature.
Fishing permits are available by contacting PAWC.
