Geocache Description:

Has anyone ever been driving along the A4 road, Fivemiletown to Clogher and noticed a 3 tier building on the horizon to the right?

This is Brackenridge's Monument.

Born George Charles Trimble he changed him name to Lord Brackenridge thinking people would have more respect for him.

It didn't work.

He built this mausoleum and was buried inside this tower so that people would always have to look up to him.

Apparently American Soldiers broke into it during the last war looking for treasure, his body was then removed

A quick cache & dash, this cache is as close as you get to it, as its on private land and no direct path up to it BYOP

The cache itself is the size of a 35mm film container.

There is an information board here and its also part of "The Carlton Trail"

There is room for 1 car to park at GZ
