This device is used around the world to help control "heated" situations. The modern version was created by a British Captain in 1818, so they've been around a while. This one is a much more modern version that will be recognizable, once you find it. Many different versions have been created since they were first invented. A rare one is the glass grenade. It consisted of a glass sphere filled with CTC (carbon tetrachloride) that was intended to be hurled at the base of the "heated" situation. These are not seen too often due to how fragile they are. I've only seen 4.
