The Giant Pukeko (Waitomo/Waikato) Traditional Cache

This is the 8th in my  Giant series. The corrugated iron sculpture of the Pukeko is another Otorohanga Kiwiana item. For non New Zealanders the Pukeko is a quirky NZ "swamp hen"and it features in several TV ads and was accorded the Bird of the Year in 2011.

This is version 4 with Pukeko's quaky friend and then the eel being muggled or cleared away by workmen. The viewing platform has been removed so an old tube cache is now a muggle diversion. I suggest you read the council information/display board very close to GZ. Cache is a small pill container with a hook for easier extraction but stealth is required..
