The local polar plunge is happening here, on this day. And several people, including members of the Great Lakes Dirtbags, are participating. Come on out for a quick flash mob before the parade of costumed plungers happens, lend a little moral support, laugh a bit.
January 18th, 2014. Current plan is to meet outside, as the inside will probably be insane with last minute plunge preparations. At 11:15 the log book will open. At 11:30 it will close. This is all you really have to do to attend this event. There is no cost or requirements beyond that.
If you wish to however, at 11:45 the costumed plunge participants will parade down to the lakeshore. At noon, they will begin to JUMP INTO THE WATER for the amusement of all the saner people who are watching. Well, not just for that, but anyway. After, there will be lunch served. If you wish to stick around for that, there is a minimal cost for the food.
