This cache is located near the village of Stavros at the penninsula of Akrotiri in northern Crete. Stavros was the original film location for the movie "Zorba the Greek" with Anthony Quinn as Alexis Zorbas. The movie is based on a novel by Nikos Kazantzakis and was nominated for 7 oscars, it finally won 3.. There you can see the beach where Basil and Alexis danced the famous Sirtaki scene.
